Seems to heat up well but when I use the trigger gun it is just making a clicking sound but no steam escapes.The lock is not on (have checked that) anyone had the same problem!! and solved it.

I have the same problem, and wonder if there is a build up of limescale. I'll try supermarket brands of limescale remover. My Polti is 5/6 years old and I've never needed to de-limescale it before.
