My poulan chain saw runs well but will not idle without
turning the throttle adj. up to the point where the
clutch is always engaged.The idle richness screw
appears to be a special driver that has a spline like
interior.Is there a tool available from Poulan?
This is extremely annoying 280 miles from a service
centre.

It's Torx headed screw. The correct size torx driver will do the job. Do NOT try to adjust the screw witha philips screwdriver!
