ghd hair straighteners?

how can i split apart mystraighteners to replace damaged power cable the scres on either side dont seam to move i tried using two screwdrivers

if u close the straightners and put an elastic band or something around around it to hold it closed there are two small screws at the base of the straightners u need a very small phillips screwdriver 2 undo them then with a flat head screwdriver prise the black rubber ring of the base the small cap will now be free to remove but its still a bit fiddly a bit of paitence is all thats needed once removed the power cord should just unplug (it a bit like earphones plug) once removed insert ur new power cord pop the small cap back on screw it closed job done!
