How to fix Leaky coolant hose on 2001 taurus ?

I have a 2001 ford taurus that started a small leak about two weeks ago.Every couple days I would see a small spot under my car.It would drip for a few minutes then stop so I thought it was condensation. Then it started a little more often but had no smell to it. Now it is leaking pretty steadily when car is running and it smells like antifreeze. I popped the hood and seen a hose leaking in back of the engine about half way down firewall. Is there a coupler or special adhesive tape you can buy or how can I easily replace hose ? I have very little resources so I am looking to fix right but as inexpensive as possible!

Cut out the leaking part of hose and slide the 2 ends into a short length of slightly larger hose, which is pretty cheap to buy,and secure with jubilee clips.Works a treat. If all your pipe is cracked and perished you need to replace it all.You can usually make some universal hosing fit without paying original equipment prices.
