Glidol garage door wont drive down?

My henderson glidol electric garage door will drive to the up position, but when you press to shut the garage door it wont drive down. My son did push the door up with the motor connected, will the limet switches be out of position ?

You seem to have upset the limits on your Gliderol roller door. The limit cams/switches are accessed through a half round cover plate at the motor end. By observing which switch operates at the top limit you can adjust the other switch to set the down limit. Do this with power off and red disconnect lever dis-engaged. Have someone pull the curtain down to the floor while you observe the down cam operation. The cam should hit the switch as the curtain touches the floor. Be warned, it is a very 'fine' setting. You will hear the switch 'click'. The three small phillips screws at the cam centre need to be loosened slightly to make any adjustments. You should set it to stop short of the floor. Switch the power on, engage the small red lever and then 'tweak' the .cam to achieve the best setting. Its a 24volt system, so no lethal voltages. If in any doubt, Get a professional in. 10 Minute job.
