using alot of water?

my wife's rover 25 2002 model 5 door is using alot of water. Have to top it up every week, did 300 miles in it yesterday and had to fill it up. Gauge says it is o.k. even down on temp. Sometimes blows cold. No signs of a leak.

have it pressure tested.sounds like a fault on the heater matrix.dash may have to come out.other is head gasket.both jobs exspensive.good luck.
