There has been electrical clicking noises and static coming from all the channels of my receiver. It starts after about 5 mins of playing and gets worse until sound goes altogether. It occurs on any sound mode & from any input (ie CD, DVD tuner etc).

I have a gold one as well. I had the static coming from the left front speaker but had it fixed by an engineer friend. My problem now is that it turns off automatically when i turn it on. So it is basically useless now as it won't keep on...sometimes I've been able to get around this by turning the volume control up and down quickly as i turn it on. Any ideas anyone?
