ford puma, alarm keeps going on!?

Please if anyone can shed any light, Ford Puma 2001 (Y), for some reason the car alarm comes on randomly after locking the car, varying from minutes to an hour afterwards.
Has anyone experienced this before with this type of vehicle.
Any ideas before I have to pay the full on price of Ford?
