ryobi 18 v (old)ni cad?

where would i begin to fix 18v ryobi i was given? its an oldish one, no lights come on the charger (replaced fuse in plug top)dont have right screwdriver to get into charger,and i have frozen the batteries,as i heard this helps (they have seen no use for a while).

Use a philips screwdriver to remove the four screws in the b ottom, Separate and look next to the power transformer. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE UNIT5 UNPLUGGED FROM THE WALL SOCKET. Remove the fuse with a screwdriver or knofe or whatever and have the fuse checked. If blown, buy a new one and replace it. Should be OK after putting all back together.
