I have a 2001 1.8 petrol Mondeo Mk 3 which has a habit of locking the doors with the ignition on & engine running. This can happen when driving or stationary with the engine running. It appears only to happen when the weather in warmer, it's just started happening again now. No problems during the winter.
I carry my spare key in case I get locked out - any ideas

I have exactly the same problem and now only the key fob will open the boot and central locking, or lock it. I have one report its a dodgy front door locking unit as this plays some sort of master function sending messages to the rest of the doors and if playing up can cause this kind of hassle.

I would also be gratefull for an answer to this one and if my fix is correct
