how can I re-tension roller blind?

have removed blind and are unable to get tension back

1. fit blind into bracket
2. pull blind down as normal till it locks itself
3.remove blind in its locked position then by hand rolling the blind fabric back on the barrel.
4.again fit into brackets and pull down..if more tension required start again..
