When key is turned, small fly wheel on starter motor is not spinning off spindle (in opposite rotation) to engage with motor flywheel. Could it need lubricating? If so what with? Maybe WD40? How much lubicant should I apply?
This bendix gear is actually meant to run dry - take it apart for cleaning, and get rid of any dust in there. Its a possibility that the spiral is worn or damaged - or maybe the starter motor isn't spinning quickly enough.
