No power to panel key pad?

My Optima XL6 panel seems to have no power going to keypads. Power is going to panel but not key pad. Unit is over 10 years old. Do I need a new panel?

Your alarm system has an onboard power supply with fuse protection. You say that you know power is on your endstation but not the keypads. you either have a faulty endstation, a cable fault or more likely a blown fuse. You need to ascertain which; therefore, using a DMM (Digital MultiMeter - set to DC Volts 20v range).
1). At the endstation: Meter across the 12v output which the keypads are connected to. You need circa 11.5v-13.8v. if you nave 0v...
2). Check the onboard fuses - replace if blown. Note that fuses blow for a reason. If you replace a fuse and it blows again, you either have a short on one of your cables or a device is drawing too much current .: disconnect your keypad power cables, replace the fuse again and...
3). Check keypad cables for short (/breaks) by metering cable cores while DMM set to a continuity (Buzzer) setting. If no faults found on your cable you may have a faulty keypad.

If you find that your fuses are all ok and that there is no 12v output you probably have a faulty alarm system. If in doubt go to www.nsi.com and look for a local installation company that may be able to help.

Hope this helps
