starter motor on 01 fiat bravo?

i am looking for where the starter motor is on my 01 fiat bravo 1.2
i have jacked up the car and looked by the gearbox and engine block and cant seem to see it.
can any1 let us know where exactly it is cause i want to put a hammer to it to see if my starter is going . cheers

stand on the n/s wing looking down on the gearbox if you take the battery box out it will give you more room.at the back of the engine near the gearbox linkage there is one bolt and if you put your hand round the back of the engine ther is two more bolts facing the other way these are the bolts to remove the startermotor.dont forget the live on the solenoid and make sure that you disconnect the battery before doing any work on electrical parts.
