My Pvcu Door locks but the key wont turn the last 2 degrees and come out. It's dangerous because i can't hide keys from kids and have to use back door all the time. Can't afford locksmith , could i replace it myself?

Does the barrel have a number on? You may be able to get a replacement barrel but first you would need a barrel removal kit in order to be able to place the new barrel in. fastkeys.co.uk are really well priced and their locks come with 2 keys standard, fair bit cheaper than B&Q.

New barrels for these euro locks are available from the likes of B&Q, but they are made in different lengths. To remove the barrel, there is one screw that screws into the middle, accessible when the door is open. Test the barrel once you have unscrewed it though as it could be the door lock mechanism itself thats causing this one. In fact, open the door then try to lock with the handles as normal...see if the lock works then.
