Can a 12V Dewalt charger be fixed?

My 12V Dewalt charger reads 50V on no load/open circuit.
This seems very high to me.
Anyone know the cause or correct voltage it should be on no load/open circuit????

All help gratefully appreciated.

I would suggest not using the charge as it will damage your battery and maybe your drill better be safe than sorry
