hi, have no heat or hotwater the pilot light has gone out, the light next to the symbol for pilot is not on. have tried to reset have just had a plumber out he said it was pressure and it wasn't

What make and Model of Boiler do you have?
Also A Gas Service Engineer would be better qualified than a Plumber to repair your boiler (no offence intended to plumbers, but I as a Boiler Engineer would not install a Bathroom for example)
