stopped checked plugs etc opened trimmer up found screws in
"casing"attaching blades together had come loose should they be tight to enable the blades to work? or should they be loose.
any other ideas would be helpful

If its the screws I'm thinking about, that is the ones along the cutting blade length, then they should just be tight enough to allow the blades to pass eachother with a shearing motion, and no more. Overtightening them slows and strains the motor.
