How do I replace a broken bake element on my G.E. electric oven?

I have a General Electric electric range purchased in 1994 - Model JSP31G. The bake element that heats the oven has broken. I have located a replacement part but before I purchase it I would like to feel confident that I am going to replace it properly before I purchase the element. It appears that the element can simply be plugged into the receptacle. But that almost sounds too easy. I would appreciate any directions.

Secure power to unit, remove screws securing element to oven, gently pull element away from oven wall remove wires connected to the element being sure not to let wires slide back through holes. Reverse process for new element and your good to go.
