The indicator lights are showing that the pressure is low (lights 40 and 80 flashing). Which would indicate low pressure. However the pressure guage is showing above 2 (about 2 1/4). The added problem seems to be that the boiler wont fill, even when i turn the tap on the fill loop. The water pressure to the house is extremely low. Any ideas??

Your boiler should fire at that pressure however sometimes the gague may be faulty also the filling loop has a check valve this might be faulty your cheapest way of finding out is to change the filling loop by doing this you will have to drain the boiler. This will show if the gague is faulty because the pressure will drop to '0' showing it's working. If this doesn't work you need to build the pressure up by some other means this will mean getting a decent plumber in.
