Stihl 017 chain saw ?

I get a spark, fuel is new, and doesn,t seem to flood cyl. could it be the air fuel setting or the idle speed srew ? I cannot start the saw.

Troubleshoot the problem:

Does it start with a shot of fuel in the carb and then die?

If so check the fuel filter and fuel pickup tube in the fuel tank.
