Scantronic 9448+ Box?

Had an alarm and then subsequently entered code to turn off. This turned off the internal sounder, but thebox runs on with both mains and battery disconnected. Is there any way to turn off box sounder without going up to the box?

the battery in the bell takes over it should stop after about 2 hours but could be considerably longer
