Trying to remove an Optima XM alarm system, I have dropped the power and removed the battery 4 hours ago, wires are disconnected to the alarm box but unfortunately my external alarm is still going off. I will now have to wire back up as night time isapproaching and it is a nuiscance. Any suggestions?

Your Bellbox will continue to sound until the internal battery has drained. Suggest you open the bellbox and remove the battery
