How do I change the battery in my 2005 passat key fob

Oh, and make sure the car is parked somewhere safe and legal before messing with the key, just in case it doesn't work. A bit embarassing (and expensive) if you're parked on a single yellow line or suchlike and cant get the car moved!

It usually shows you in the car handbook. You will probably have to re-synchronise the key after changing the battery. The method for this is usually in the handbook too.

They are all different. Most battery suppliers will do ir you. Try your local market
