how do i change the door handle on my aeg washing machine?

my handle has broken i have bought a new one i have taken out all the screws around the inside but it seems i have to use too much force to take the plastic mouling off to be able to get into the housing to change the handle. any help much appreciated. thanks

use two flat bladed screwdrivers and work your way around the inner and outer door frames splitting them apart.eventually it will part company.it might leave marks on the frame but I have never broken one
