My ford focus 1.9 TDI engine just stopped running while I was sitting in it and will now not restart. It has always taken a while to start in the cold, but has never just stopped running.

I have checked the levels etc, but I am not sure what other checks I can carry out to get to the bottom of the problem.

I would be very greatful of any help.

check all fuses could be the fuse for stop solenoid
