HELP!! My Clarion car radio has the message CONNECT?

I've entered the code into my Pug 306's Clarion radio 6CD autochanger which now plays radio & tapes but when I want to play CD's "connect" shows on the display. How do I correct this?

sounds like a connection problem from back of tape player or cd player in boot. radio is not recognizing a connection to the cd player.
