My Brandt A Class Frost Free refrigerator's internal light comes on when the door is opened, but the refrigerator makes no sound apart from a few clicking sounds when first turned on.

leave unplugged for 40mins then plug it back in.If you hear a buzz followed by a click this can be a sign that the compressor is seized or has a faulty start/run winding.Both faults result in a new compressor and regas which will be expensive
