I have followed instructions from helpful suggestions on this site and have also got copy of installation guide for scantronic 9448+ - but still having problem - when I put user code in to set the alarm - it wont set, but three zone lights are lit up - zones 1, 3,and 6 and then the alarm bell goes off. Any idea what these zones are and how to be able to set the alarm?
unfortunately my father who has just died never used the alarm (lived here from new, 3years), I have managed to restore power and replace internal fuse but still not able to set it! Help!!

Zone 1 may be the entry exit on the door. You may not be able to omit this. Try omitting the other 2 zones and see what happens. Or better still call an alarm engineer!
