i need to open my ps3 2 try 2 mend it as all the data on the hard drive has been wiped off,i think? its the original ps3 not the slim.thanks

The Hard Drive is external - below a plastic cover on the end plate.
This can be re-formatted using specialist softwarte - downloadable.
New HD can be purchased, but needs to be formatted for PS3

Hi, if its fried, it'll never work again. Send it to Sony. One screw in base and it all falls out, dont know what u r going to do in there tho. Good luck.
