Hi much appreciate some advise. Have an Admiral side by side fridge freezer - approx 3 years old. Some six months ago had a problem with the fridge side freezing because the air flap was not closing because of a fault with the spring. Was warned by the engineer that this problem was likely to recur. Now have a problem with the freezer side defrosting and then refreezing intermittently. Any advise on the problem and cost of repair much appreciated together with reliable engineers in the surrey area would be much appreciated.

I have the same problem with my fridge/freezer up in Cheshire. It's also about 3 years old.

The problem is that my house is rented out at the moment, and I don't live just around the corner. The letting agency sent somebody round, who claimed it is the thermostat causing the problem, which will cost me over £100 to replace. He has since said the part is on back order, and the compressor is likely to be the next component to break-down, which will cost around £900...

I would appreciate it if anyone knows of a good and trustworthy engineer near Middlewich, Cheshire who could take a look? I don't believe the guy the letting agency sent round. Thanks in advance.
