need to know fuel mix ratio for homelite xl?

Hi Folks ,

just dug out the old mans chainsaw a homelite xl which started after a couple of attempts on pure petrol. As I dont have the manual I need to know the ratio fuel mix if any to operate correctly. Greatly appreciate your info on this.

If you have an old Homelite XL 12, Super XL, Super EX or other old Homelite, it runs on a 16:1 ratio. Do not alter the ratio just because your brand new Husqvarna or Stihl runs on 50:1.

The secret to longevity on these engines is correct fuel mixture. And don't ever run it again on pure gasoline.

Good luck.

32 to 1 , pure gas will fry and seize the piston and bearings.
