Hi, it could be one of 2 things:
the spindle on the inside of the handle could have snapped. You would take the handles off to check this.
Or if the spindle looks ok then its a good chance that the locking mechanism needs replacing.
If its the spindle you could replace the handles yourself from a site such as www.handlesandhinges.co.uk
or if its the door mech it may be better to call in a local repair engineer.
