Washing machine has occasionally started clicking through the wash programme. Switching it off and restarting after 10 minutes has often resolved problem but not any more. Program runs for 30-60 seconds then stops and clicks round the dial. (doesn't drain the water). Now sometimes doesn't start at all. Cleared out the filter and checked the outlet pipe all clear but still not working.

Got a repair man in - Turns out the pump needed replacing (15min job).

Repair man also advised clicking through programme could be caused by uneven small loads (eg just one pair of jeans) which can cause drum to spin unevenly or upsets the balance so the machine stops the programme (clicks round the dial).
