my delonghi oven is not heating at all- fan+grill are both still working. is it likely to be the heating element

i've looked all day for this. there should be an orange light by the Temperature knob which usually comes on when the oven is heating or first put on. If this light doesn't come on it is the thermostat that needs replacing. However is the light comes on but the oven won't heat then it is the element.
