removal of CDS 6000?

I had to change out the battary on my 2004 Ford Focus Estate and, yes, I now need the audio code for my sound system. I'm trying to remove it so I can get the ID number off the side. Once I get that number then I should be able to get the security code and get the unit back up and running again. Can anyone point me to how to remove the unit sound system? It has 2 slots on each side of the face (lining up vertically). Are these part of how to remove the radio/cd player?

Thanks.

I've finally gotten around to popping the radio out and now have the serial number. It is: M 213 854.

If you can help with the code, that would be great.
