AEG Favorit 54850 Dishwasher?

My dishwasher is not:
1) releasing the washing tablet
2) not emptying the water. At 20 min the light flashes and nothing further happens. This occurs on every type of cycle and there is water in the bottom of the chamber.

What is wrong?

if it isn't draining this may be the cause.you need to remove the drain pump and check it.remove the bottom front panel or the right hand side panel looking from the front to gain access
