I have a hoover steam vac 5 brush and the water and detergent tank leaks?

What can I do to repair my Hoover steam vac with 5 brushes?

Both the water and detergent tanks leak.

One company told me I had to replace the tank. Is this the case?

About $40 for a new one. Try this. Replace the small "o" rings on bottom of tanks. One of mine just popped off and we never found it. A friend replaced the ring so that the stopper works correctly when the tank is on the steam vac. Good luck
