Cannon Chichester Model 10575G Mk3?

Top Oven lights but flame remains at idle. User Manual states "There is a delay of about one minute whilst the safety device operates before the burner comes on full". Any idea which component is defective and where it's located. All burners, grill, main oven etc work ok.

hi there is a thin long with groves in it that has come off in the top oven/grill apart when my son was clean it but cant see where it goes back on. can you help me?
