Checked the pump (electric) and it works. Nothing blocking the pump. Technician said the timer was defective so I replaced that; still stops at the drain cycle. Suspect the water level switch but ... do not know how to test. any help thanks.
Thanks for the quick response JP. You were absolutely correct. Picked up the new switch yesterday, installed it last night and the washer is working again. Thanks for your help.

Make sure your lid switch is operating correctly. This could cause a no drain/no spin problem.
