how can i change the lid swich on a kenmore 90 series?

my washer wont drain and the lid switch has come free. How can i get the lid off to change replace or reinstall the switch

My Kenmore m# 110.24934202 lid switch is broken, I have a replacement but can not get the harness to unclip by reaching up behind the "tub", any suggestions to access it? Do I need to pop the top section off the washer?
