i have been given a sky box cause mine got broken but i cant use my sky card in the box i was given is there any way i can unlock it so i can use it?

Actually the card only need 'pairing' if you have premium channels like sport or movies. If you do not have any premium channels and have not used your card for ages it will not have received a 'Stay Alive' signal from Sky. If this is the case, leave the card in the box with the box on or in standby for (I'm afraid) up to three days for it to get a Stay Alive signal.

Your Sky card has to match up with the box, ring Sky and they will match it up for you F.O.C.
