Thanks - you are awesome! Worked like a charm. Had no idea how to engage the piston to the screw thread of the selector arm on the cover.

Thanks greatly for the tip. I knew the piston had to ride the helix but could NOT figure how to mount it.

Thank you, i could figure out , until I read your answer, the piston goes on the cover before to put all together , Thank you.

Thanks, I was having a problem with it.

I didn't quite get this at first so for those having similar "thick" moments you need to remove the piston from the valve and then position the piston adjacent to the smart mix knob in the cover prior to fitting the cover

I assume you have the top cover removed. Place the "SmartMix" selector knob to the water only position. Turn the cover over. You will notice an angle on the top of the piston. This will fit between a couple of plastic ridges on the top cover by the selector screw. Angle the piston slightly forward and engage the angled cut in the top of the piston with the screw thread and pull back. Turn the screw to the high traffic position and replace the cover. If you have it, a tiny amount of silicon grease around the "SmartMix" piston 'O' ring will ease the reinstallation of the cover.
