Leak from central heating system?

My boiler is losing pressure regular due, suppose, to a leak from system. Cannot trace this to radiators. Any suggestions as to the best way to find the location of any leaks in the system or from the radiators.

a water patch and check the external overflow pipe or it maybe a leak internally in the boiler

Could be losing pressure through the pressure relief valve which in turn could indicate a possible problem with the expansion vessel.

Turn on your heating, if pressure on guage rises significantly as temprature rises check pipe (should be located outside the building), if it's leaking get an RGI to check/replace the vessel and replace the prv
