how can i fix my zanussi dishwasher model number da6141d?

the washer starts and fills and even goes through the cycle but makes a strange wooshing noise and leaves residue on the plates and does not clean or dry properly i have checked the seal that feeds the top spinner and it seem ok can anyone help???
