Bosch fridge not cooling and temp gauge flashing E2?

I got back from holiday to find my Bosch KGU3201 GB/01 fridge/freezer, fridge temp gauge flashing E2 and the fridge getting warm. This is an intermittent problem and the freezer is working fine.
