My dishwasher shorts out halfway through the cycle,any ideas anyone.It is a direct short across the live and neutral of the plug.It isnt the lead because I disconnected it in the machine.The water inlet solonoid seems ok. Couldnt really get at the drain motor solonoid.It is a Candy Aquaviva cd623.Does anyone have a circuit diagram ?

heater would be a good place to start.disconnect the heater and see if short goes away
