How can I fix buzzing noise from Bose sound dock?

When I connect iPod there is a buzzing noise from dock. Have tried other iPods all with same result.

Pull the plug out from the back of the docking station as it maybe in the wrong way as I had the same bother or if that does not work there is a free phone number for Bose who are very helpfull
