what is the part called between the gas tray and coals?

what do you call the part on an open gas fire that keeps the coals off the flame outlet in the gas tray as mine is disintagrating?

On a regular coal fire the burning coals rest on an iron Grate - I would guess that grate is the term the manufacturer uses.
