The Door would open : Hotpoint washer-dryer Aquarius Extra WD63?

My machine operates as far as 'slow spin' but does not switch to fast spin. As a result it doesn't seem to switch off properly. As a result the door does not open
so I cannot take out the washed items inside. Please help.
